Kevin Mcallister, CEO
Kevin J McAllister joined SolaBlock in 2019. Formerly Kevin was the founder and CEO of inRESONANCE (IR), an edtech software company serving more than 400 client schools in 34 countries. He exited IR in 2017 after 17 years. Kevin has been involved in a variety of careers — edtech consultant, software programmer, IT Director for the Loomis Chaffee School, and exploration geologist. While serving as a Peace Corps volunteer in Paraguay, Kevin helped organize the first national congress on natural resources. Kevin has lived and traveled throughout the world and is passionate about the environment and alternative technologies. He has twice walked the 500 mile Camino de Santiago across Spain.
Shannon Carleton, CMO
Shannon Carleton originally joined SolaBlock as a business development intern while working on her degree. Understanding SolaBlock’s vision to save the world, she worked her way up and leads SolaBlock’s sales and marketing teams. Previously, she worked for Apple as a manager learning how to lead highly innovative teams. She obtained an undergraduate degree of Communication and Journalism from the University of St. Thomas in 2013 and finished her master’s degree in Intercultural Relations from Lesley University in 2017. Shannon has a passion for culture and travel, and studied abroad for a year at the University of Westminster in London. Shannon previously won a home-run hitting contest at a national tournament and was a two-time Academic All American.
Patrick Quinlan, Founder & CTo
Patrick Quinlan founded SolaBlock in 2012. He has been actively involved in renewable energy since 1982. He worked on solar at Southern California Edison and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL). He was also a Congressional fellow for the Ranking Member of the House of Science Committee, and a Technology Fellow supporting the Presidential Science Advisor at the Office of Technology Policy. Patrick currently has three projects in the Smithsonian.
Jason Laverty, founder & COO
Jason Laverty joined SolaBlock as co-founder in 2015, as a veteran R&D mason. He is a co-inventor of SolaBlock technology and a former instructor for both the International Masonry Institute and Job Corps. Jason is a member of Local Union No. 3 of the Boston International Union of Bricklayers, and is a recognized troubleshooting mason, involved in several large scale projects restoring historic buildings.
